MICROS Signs Exclusive Agreement to Integrate CrunchTime!'s Inventory Management System into OPERA Hotel Management Suite

April, 2000 COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- April 20, 2000 - MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS - news), a leading provider of information technology solutions to the hospitality industry, has entered into an exclusive agreement with CrunchTime! Information Systems to integrate CrunchTime!'s inventory management application into the MICROS-Fidelio OPERA suite of hotel management applications. MICROS has secured the exclusive rights to the CrunchTime! inventory management application for the worldwide hotel market segment, and plans to begin sales and distribution within the next six months. The product will be distributed under the name "OPERA Materials Management System, powered by MICROS-CrunchTime!." Additional terms of the agreement allow MICROS distribution rights of CrunchTime!'s inventory management application to the leisure and entertainment market segment.

CrunchTime!'s Enterprise Manager, is an enterprise back-office system that combines perpetual inventory control, purchasing, recipe engineering, production planning, and intra-company distribution with the latest client-server and internet technologies. At the corporate level, the system offers centralized administration, on-line transaction processing, e-purchasing, and an enterprise-wide reporting system with both LAN and web-based access.

The MICROS-Fidelio OPERA hotel management system offers comprehensive information management for the global hospitality industry. It provides individual hotels, resorts, and chains of every size a choice of tightly integrated and scalable application modules to meet their precise operating needs. For independent hotels, OPERA provides the advantages of an integrated enterprise-wide solution. For chain hotels, it adds the ability to "complex" or support multiple properties on a single Oracle database. With an easy-to-use graphical user interface, OPERA can operate on Microsoft Windows NT or UNIX platforms and provides management the option of a thin or thick client, taking advantage of cutting-edge, e-commerce capabilities with web-based components.
