Network Administrator

CrunchTime! has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator responsible for setup, configuration, maintenance and optimization of the internal Network Environment, Virtual Machines, Database Environments, and Hardware Infrastructure.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

    Network Administration
  • Setup/administration of Intel servers, Windows Server operating systems
  • Setup/administration of network infrastructure (firewall/VPN, hubs, routers, switches, cabling, internet connectivity)
  • Setup/support server applications (MS Exchange, ACT! 2008, MDaemon, FTP Serv-U, StarTeam 4.2, Starteam 2005, Mercury Quality Center, Confio Ignite, Apache Web Server, MS IIS, BEA WebLogic, MS SQL Desktop Edition, VMWare Server)
  • Filesystem and MS Exchange backup and recovery (CA ArcServe, Iron Mountain)
  • Setup/support of security, anti-virus, anti-spam software and appliances (NOD32, AlertSite, WhatsUpGold, Postini, Nessus)

  • Desktop Administration
  • Setup/support desktop applications (MS Office, Mercury WinRunner, Mercury Quick Test Pro, StarTeam 4.2, StarTeam 2005, IntelliJ, VMWare Workstation, etc.)
  • Setup/administration of Intel laptops and desktops, Windows Desktop operating systems
  • Participate in all hardware and software acquisitions
  • Setup/administration of internal phones and voicemail

  • Database Administration
  • Setup/administration of Oracle RDBMS Instances (internal and hosted)
  • Backup and recovery of Oracle RDBMS schemas (internal and hosted)

  • Production Environment Support
  • Support hosted collocated facilities (servers, database, application)
  • Apply system and databases upgrades with excellent coordination with customer and minimal downtime
  • Provide after hours support as needed
  • Setup/support of load balancers, servers, and storage area networks

  • Preferred Experience and Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in 4 year program (preferably with a concentration in Computer Science or other technical program)
  • Experience with setup, configuration, and administration of Oracle and other relational databases
  • Proven experience with network administration
  • Proven experience with desktop administration
  • Professional certifications highly desired
