Course Abstract

35 minutes

Encourage a harassment-free work environment by training your staff how to identify sexual harassment, how to report sexual harassment, and how to recognize retaliation. This course covers Chicago’s expanded definition of sexual harassment, reviews how to report harassment, and explains employer requirements. This course must be taken each calendar year in combination with Illinois Harassment Prevention and Harassment-Free Workplace for employees. Managers must complete this course annually in conjunction with Illinois Harassment Prevention, Chicago Manager Harassment Prevention, Preventing Harassment in the Workplace, Unconscious Bias for Managers and Reducing Bias in Interviewing.

  • Provides Chicago's expanded definition of sexual harassment in terms of working environment, victims, and online conduct

  • Explains how welcome behavior can become unwelcome and that consent can be revoked at any time
  • Lists additional examples of behaviors that can be considered sexual harassment

  • Identifies rights of victims and details the four ways to report sexual harassment
