The Year in Review and Looking Ahead with CrunchTime
2020 was the 25th anniversary of CrunchTime. A period that should have been joyous for our company has instead been defined by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the past quarter century, we have managed through the internet bubble of 2000, the attacks of 9/11, the financial crisis of 2008, and the more mundane challenges of bootstrapping a technology company to become a global leader. At every turn we have emerged stronger by staying close to our customers, managing our finances responsibly, and investing in the amazing team members that we have had the opportunity to work with. Nothing we have seen in those 25 years could have prepared us for what we are all experiencing today.
But, still, we all persevere - and there's a lot to be proud of.
Let's take a look back and see what 2020 looked like for us.
# # #
Our core food and labor applications continued to lead the industry this past year with meaningful, customer-driven upgrades.
Our product development teams were busy releasing over 11,000 development items to our users, and we managed to upgrade our QA infrastructure to reduce testing times by half!
POS integrations are always in high gear and 2020 was no exception. This year, we managed to get 90% of our clientele on the Connex integration platform... which processed over 1-BILLION guest checks this year!
Yes, the pandemic slowed everything down, but where there's a will, there's a way. Going virtual allowed us to not miss a beat ... including the kid's homework.
The CrunchTime suite of mobile apps were to the moon in 2020. Well over 2-million notifications were sent to Teamworx, Counter, and Impact users this year. Meanwhile, our Biz-IQ data warehouse and business intelligence app usage grew by 34%!
We pride ourselves on having the best customer service in the industry. We're always there when you need us... and a 97% customer satisfaction is proof positive.
We're a company with a conscience and 2020 only revved up that philosophy. We work hard together, give together and enjoy our families. Oh, did we also mention we had no layoffs!?!
A core mission for CrunchTime is to make the people that use our products better restaurant operators. So, training is something we take very seriously. By these numbers, it looks like the professionals using our products share the same view.
Internally, we use the hashtag #GSD. It means we Get S*** Done. Our solution deployment teams practically rival the best military logistics planners anywhere! Oorah!
2020 was the year that restaurant automation gained real traction. Operations are moving to "auto everything." Auto sales forecasting, auto bid processing, auto post... is just the beginning.
Well, if you have to be at home, you might as well make yourself comfortable. Turns out people can be just as productive or even more-so!
Thank you. Simple words that mean so much, especially in 2020. Thank you for being heroes in your communities, for allowing us to help when needed, and for continuing to support and challenge us. Most of all, thank you for your stewardship of our hospitality industry, and for helping it meet the challenges of COVID-19 through your determination and resilience.
We look forward to sharing 2021 with you. Happy holidays!
